What is a .dxf or .dwg?

A .dxf or .dwg is a computer file drawing in a CAD (Computer Automated Design) program.  
A .dxf is a (Drawing Exchange File) file that can be created in almost any CAD program. 
A .dwg is a AutoCAD drawing made in any program manufactured by AutoCAD. 
The file should contain a drawing of the wood profile only.
